We help you with all questions concerning the handling of research data, from the conception of a local data management to the structuring of your research data, the collaborative exchange, the publication of research data, its archiving, and the creation of data management plans.
In a joint discussion, we will find a suitable technical infrastructure solution based on your needs to optimally support you in handling your research data.
No matter how much research data you have, whether it is a collaborative project or an individual researcher, we will be happy to support you.
The Research Data Service of TU Dortmund University supports researchers in all questions regarding research data management: before, during and after your research project. Advice is provided by the RDM service team, which consists of staff from the Research Funding Department, the University Library and the ITMC. The Research Data Service thus bundles the competencies from the different service areas and makes them available to you in a low-threshold manner.
Our consulting services also include training on the topic of research data management.
- In the workshop "Structuring and Organizing Research Data", we introduce you to the concepts of RDM and explain how to adapt them to your needs.
- In the workshop "Data Management Plans with RDMO", we explain how to use the Research Data Management Organizer (RDMO) to create data management plans and make them collaboratively available to colleagues. We will also enlighten you on how to use DMPs for (interim) reporting in externally funded projects.
- In the workshop "FAIR Data Management" we enlighten you about the FAIR principles and explain the measures that need to be taken to generate FAIR research data.
